This new type of alarm, driven by a single-integer tag, supports up to eight states that can be defined with custom names. Users can define the action for each state as an alarm, event, or no action, controlling where they appear in the system. The alarm state names can then become visible on all alarm pages and alarm banner displays, as well as on the sequence of events (SOE) pages and process analyst alarm views.

A new modern installation framework simplifies the selection and installation of required components. Built using AVEVA’s common technology stack for a familiar installation experience, the new installer leverages the Install Toolkit (ITK). Core components appear as a single entry within the Programs and Features list in the Windows Control Panel, making it easier for users to modify, repair, or remove the application. You can execute installation via a command line, supporting an unattended, silent installation with preconfigured response files provided to install all components, or development-only, runtime client, runtime server, or configurator options.

Tag/equipment generation and update speeds immensely improved over previous releases when using the equipment editor.

Users can open the kernel of any process via the runtime manager, where they will be prompted for credentials. You can assign kernel access to specific user roles, which gives you more control over who has access to the low-level diagnostic and debugging operations for runtime analysis of your system.
